Jason and Cherith,
The Lord has blessed me with your friendship and sharing your ministry to the Kamea people. My eyes and heart have been opened to a new work of the Lord. You will be prayed for everyday as you start your married life and ministry. I love you and look forward to serving the Lord together!
In His love,
Bette Roberts
My heart is so full of emotions as I write this. Today was the first day that I was on your website, “THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW”. I knew it was a work there but had no idea after seeing all of the pictures. God bless you young man and Ms Becky and family. Thank you for your labors of love for the PNG people but most of all for God. I feel like I have not done the work justice. I saw with my own eyes the need for constant prayers for your work in PNG. Forgive me. I wonder why it is that unless we see with our eyes, speaking of myself, we don’t really understand how much you need our prayers. Keep the pictures coming when you can.Tell your dad and mom hello. I will never forget our times together. My memories bring joy to my heart.
God Bless.

Bro. John,
Mine eyes have effected mine heart. As I scroll through the pages of this website and see the list of villages that have not heard the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, my heart swells and my throat lumps up. I will pray daily for you both and the work there. Eph 6:10.
Angus and I are praying for your after the recent tornado. We are so glad that you are uninjured, and we know that God will use this to “Declare His Glory.”
Returned back to the States at the beginning of January after a month with the Allens. This was definitely a life changing trip. I have many pictures and a few videos for those who are interested in seeing the work.
Blessed be the name of Jesus and the Gospel with its powerful light which will shine in many hearts lost in darkness the Joy and Hope in Christ who saves us and gives the Holy Spirit to us with healing and guards us to victory.
Thank you friends for your faithfulness that help people come to Jesus.
Bro Matt,
Just a note to let you know that we are praying for you and your ministry and especially for the 10 new families in the next 10 years for PNG.
Please help us as we pray for the Lord to give 10 new missionaries with our Board in 2010.
Hey Bro Matt and Family
Rebecca and I were so thrilled to hear of the recent salvations in Kotidonga. She knows what a huge breakthrough that is after being there. We are continuing to pray for your ministry there as we look forward to seeing you!
Hi Bro John, Matthew and all you families and helpers. I am not on the field in Central Australia at present but helping at my sending church. Would take too long to explain, but just wanted to let you know I am still praying for your work in PNG. Also a man in our church may wish to support you and I am going to send him this web site so he can have a look for himself.
We love you all! You all are such an encouragement to us! Thank you for the work you are doing! We hope to join you soon! We are working on all the visa stuff now.
Have any tips for what to bring or what is not so important? How do you figure out what can fly with you on a little plane? Still trying to get that one in my head. 9 people is a lot to plan for. I’ll take any and all advice you can give!
Love to All,
Christi Helzerman
Thank you all so much for your testimony and service to the Lord in Papua New Guinea. I’m a PCC student and have gotten to hear you preach several times on campus, including this semester; it was such an encouragement to hear your burden for the people there. I hope to be able to work someday in medical missions. Praying for you and your family!
Thank you for sharing the story about Old Man Isaac. We are currently listening to the interview you gave at Vision Baptist. We are looking forward to seeing you in a few days here in Austin!
I am definitely praying for you. Your dedication to spreading the Gospel in wherever the Lord may lead you is inspiring to everyone here at PCC. Keep up the good work, and continue to walk with the Lord.
I’m a sophomore media productions major at PCC. After hearing you preach in chapel, the LORD has really increased my burden to help missionaries show the world the people they are trying to reach. You said that people with skills to show the “face of missions” were in desperate need. I really feel like the LORD wants to involve me with the face of missions. I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to you while you were here, but please pray that I make the right decisions these next few years. I’ll be praying for you, your family, and the lost souls your reaching in PNG.
Your testimony and dedication has influenced a deeper walk with the Lord in my life. I am a Junior at PCC and heard every message that you preached recently. I want to thank you for bringing such simple yet needed messages to our student body. As a part of this campus, I’m beginning to pray more faithfully for a revival, not just a Spiritual revival but a missions revival! I believe that is what PCC needs!
I surrendered to the mission field of China when I was 13 years old and this summer God gave me the opportunity to go to China on a “missions” trip. We were working through a missionary there and held an English workshop in a college in Hainan Province. Through your preaching, God has “re” burdened my heart for missions. I pray that God will use me for His honor and glory as He is using you and your family!
When I heard about the 12 villages of people in PNG who keep coming and asking for a preacher, my heart broke. Now every time I think of that I pray that God will send you 12 to help reach those people for Christ! I know that God will provide, because He will reveal Himself to those who seek Him.
I will continue praying for you and your family as you are in the USA until the end of Nov. and for your ministry in PNG! Thank you again for the encouragement that you brought to my life through your faithful service and committed life to the Lord.
God bless you there in the field! You visited my prayer group at PCC. I was the PL of Nate. I am now a missionary in Cebu, Philippines. You are a blessing. Our church is praying for you.
You have been at PCC the past couple days, and I appreciate your heart and ministry SO much. It is so great that you are making a difference in eternity, and you really encouraged and challenged my heart with regards to missions. Thank you for being real, I will be praying for you and the people of PNG.
I am a student a PCC and thoroughly enjoyed your preaching and testimony. You have made a deep impact on my life by instilling within me the yearning to possess the same passion for Christ that you have. Thank you so very much for your ministry. God Bless!
Thank you so much for ll you do. Because of you coming to preach at PCC at the chapel service on Friday, i have decided to rededicate my life to be a missionary. I am praying that maybe some time in the next few years I could come to visit and help you and your wife there in your ministry. I will be praying for you and all the people over there that you will be able to preach and witness to.
In Christ,
Jenna DeMars
God has called us to PNG. My wife and I went over last Jan. God confirmed the call.
We will be working with the PNG Bible Church—headquartered in the Western Highlands Province. Maybe we can fellowship someday.
I want to thank you both for your ministry to Papua New Guinea. Thanks Mr. Matt, for your message on May 31st at Fellowship Baptist Church. God used you to help me realize that He is most likely calling me to the mission field. I am not sure where yet, but God will reveal that in time I am sure while I am down at PCC.
Thanks again and I hope to keep in touch with you all. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Just found this website (ThatTheyMayKnow.com) today after a long while of search even a good number of calls to png.
How are you all? We are blessed to read of all the testimonies of what the Lord is doing there in the mission field. Praying that the Lord will continue to bless you all and the work there.
Thank you so much for visiting Grace Baptist Church. I was very interested in what you had to offer for the people over there, it’s wonderful. Thank you for all that you do.
I’ll keep you in my prayers.
I am Jon Donley and I am in 6th Grade at Faith Baptist Academy. We are doing Missionary projects and I would like to learn more about your work. Please email me at _@juno.com, I would like to know about the religions, how people accept you and any other information you may give me.

Bro. John,
Thank you for the wonderful newsletter, and website!
I just got back from a missions trip to Nigeria. Your website reminds me of there.
I believe I met you at Victory Baptist, Tim Fellure’s church. You are a blessing.

Dear Bro. John Allen,
You probably don’t remember me, but I went to Victory Baptist in Milton, Fl. I am in college now at Champion Baptist in Hot Springs. I heard a message the other day in chapel that really renewed my burden for missions and missionaries, and I am reading a book called Peace Child about a missionary to New Guinea. The Lord has put you on my heart quite often lately so I wanted you to know that I am praying for you and seeking His Will as to where He wants me to serve Him. Thank you for being faithful in God’s work. You have been a great blessing to me in your sermons, testimony, and your service to God. May you see much fruit for your labor.
I don’t suppose y’all remember me, but I pestered you with questions at the PCC Missions Conference in 2006 and I believe that God has called me to be a Bible translator in PNG. Thank you for answering my dozens of questions. I am trying to find the place that God has for me and I am praying for you that the work goes well there. Thank you for being there. Kelli
Thank you so much for your willingness to go to Papua New Guinea. Matt and Becky, because of your testimony and ministry, my husband and I will soon begin deputation for our work that God has called us to in Papua New Guinea. While at a missions conference at PCC, we saw your video and spoke with you. It was after your video that my husband and I were in tears and felt God calling us to the field of Papua New Guinea. I just watched your video again, for the first time in almost 2 1/2 years and it still brought tears to my eyes. Know that we are praying for your ministry and think of all of you guys often as we prepare for ours.

Praying for the Missionaries The single most important support that believers around the world can provide for the missionary is prayer. Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:25, “Brethren, pray for us.” I mimic that request with fervency — Brethren, please pray for us!
Update on damage at Kotidanga Many of you already know that last night about 7:30 pm a tornado went through Kotidanga. The good news is that as of 8:00 this morning, we have had no reports of injury to people. The roof on Dad’s back porch got ripped off, and broke part of the roof…
