Preacher's Conference - Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea

Published May 8, 2008

Bro. James Griggers came to Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea to speak at a national pastor’s school. Attendance was over 600 each evening with over 175 pastors attending. Matt and I had the privilege of flying ALL of our preachers from the Kamea to the meetings. It was a great week of preaching, teaching, encouragement and exhortation… not to mention conviction.

The church building at Mt. Hagen is beautiful. There has been Baptist work done here for over 40 years. It was a good location to bring all these Baptist Pastors in from several different provinces. The church services are in Pidgin English, which is the first language for many of the people in the Hagen area. From what I learned from the national pastors and preachers at the meeting, our area is one of the most remote in PNG. They were all excited to meet our “little brothers” (as they call them) and excited that God is beginning a work in our area of Gulf Province.

Glory to God!
